Haiti at the 2013 CARIFTA Games in the Bahamas

Several young Haitian athletes made the trip to the capital and largest city of the Bahamas, Nassau, to take part in the 2013 Carifta Games. The CARIFTA Games is an annual athletics competition founded by the Caribbean Free Trade Association and first held in 1972. Haiti has won the least number of CARIFTA since 1990 (1) and has yet to host the event. For the country's athletes competing in this year's edition of the games it was an amazing opportunity to gain some exposure to international competition and a large competition. We know that this is only the beginning for them and we hope that the experience only piqued their interest in trtack and field and sport. Jump for Haiti is excited to play a role in supporting and assisting Haiti's future CARIFTA athletes including those who recently competed in the Bahamas!
